Olam Agri in Nigeria has once again been recognised as a Top Employer by the Top Employers Institute, marking the sixth consecutive year the agribusiness company has received the prestigious certification.

The recognition highlights Olam Agri’s sustained commitment to building a high-performing, inclusive and purpose-driven workplace anchored on data-led people strategies and independent global benchmarks.

Beyond Nigeria, the Top Employers Institute also certified Olam Agri as a Top Employer across Africa for the sixth straight year. In total, the company earned the Top Employer 2026 certification in ten countries Cameroon, Côte d’Ivoire, Ghana, Mozambique, Nigeria, Senegal, South Africa, Australia, the Netherlands and Switzerland underscoring the consistency of its people practices across diverse markets.

According to Olam Agri, the repeated recognition reflects its deliberate focus on practices that enhance business performance, employee engagement and long-term workforce development.

Commenting on the milestone, Jaideep Biswas, Senior Vice President and Regional Head of Human Resources at Olam Agri, said the achievement validates the company’s intentional investment in its workforce.

“Securing the Top Employer Certification for the sixth consecutive year reinforces our focus on building and sustaining an engaged, inspired and satisfied workforce,” Biswas said.

“Our people are our greatest asset, and we continuously deploy cross-cutting programmes that promote excellence, collaboration and shared learning across our operations.”

Biswas added that the recognition further strengthens Olam Agri’s position as an employer of choice, where employees are supported to build meaningful careers within a values-led organisation that prioritises performance, inclusion, collaboration and long-term impact.

The Top Employers Institute, which operates in 131 countries and regions worldwide, is a leading authority in human resources certification, benchmarking and advisory services. Its certification programme is based on a comprehensive HR Best Practices Survey that evaluates organisations across six key areas: people strategy, work environment, talent acquisition, learning and development, diversity, equity and inclusion, and employee wellbeing.

Also speaking on the achievement, Anil Nair, Country Head of Olam Agri in Nigeria, noted that the company’s people-first approach aligns closely with its broader mission of advancing global food security.

“As we work to help ensure a food-secure world, we are equally committed to ensuring our world-class workforce finds fulfilment and purpose in their roles,” Nair said.
“Through the dedication of our human resource teams, we continue to record positive employee sentiment and strong retention levels. This sixth consecutive certification will further motivate us to strengthen our capabilities as the world of work continues to evolve.”

He emphasised that Olam Agri remains focused on fostering a culture of excellence where employees are empowered to make a difference, grow professionally and contribute meaningfully to sustainable business growth.

Reacting to the certification, Adrian Seligman, Chief Executive Officer of the Top Employers Institute, praised Olam Agri’s long-term commitment to people excellence.

“Achieving the Top Employer Certification for 2026 reflects Olam Agri’s dedication to creating an outstanding workplace that supports sustained business performance,” Seligman said.

“Their strong alignment between people strategy and organisational objectives, coupled with a culture of continuous improvement, demonstrates the real impact of their transformative HR practices. We are proud to recognise Olam Agri for its meaningful contribution to a better world of work.”
