Arla Foods has expanded its Nigerian product portfolio with the introduction of Cool Cow Yoghurt, a new offering produced entirely with fresh milk obtained from the Arla-Dano Farm in Kaduna State.

The launch follows the recent commissioning of the company’s modern yoghurt processing facility in Kaduna, a move aimed at boosting in-country dairy production and strengthening the domestic value chain.

The firm said the product is manufactured using 100 per cent locally sourced fresh milk, underscoring its commitment to backward integration.

According to the Head of Marketing at Arla Foods Nigeria, Ifunanya Obiakor, the new yoghurt brand reflects the company’s dedication to delivering wholesome dairy products produced within Nigeria.

She described the launch as a significant milestone in Arla’s drive to expand access to quality, locally made dairy options. Obiakor noted that the product is designed to combine taste, freshness and nutritional value, while meeting the everyday needs of Nigerian households.

The company explained that the introduction of Cool Cow Yoghurt aligns with its broader strategy of supporting local milk production, enhancing food security and promoting sustainable growth in the dairy sector.

Arla, a farmer-owned cooperative with global operations, said its continued investments in local infrastructure and sourcing are aimed at making nutritious dairy products more accessible, while contributing to the development of Nigeria’s agricultural economy.
